Association for the Propagation of the Faith (The 'Little Red Boxes')

Thanks to the efforts of the local parish secretary and her team of helpers, the APF is well supported, and each year we raise between £2,000 and £3,000 in support of the evangelising work of the Church.

Let the Children Live

The Parishes have both contributed towards the charity Let the Children Live, a charity dedicated to assisting street children in Medellin, Colombia, who face a daily struggle to survive in an environment of violence fuelled by gang culture and the drug trade. The Parish Priest is a trustee of the charity. Further information about the work of the charity may be seen at the charity's website .

Twinnage with Teze

Our Lady’s parish is twinned with St Joseph’s Parish in Teze, Cameroon. Since 1993, the parish has contributed £20,000 to St Joseph’s, who have used the money to renovate their own parish church and build small churches in some of their 17 outstations. There is regular communication between us, and the twinning is celebrated each year with a Mass in Our Lady’s. We feel that the enthusiasm of our twins is an inspiration to us to renew our faith.
